Job Purpose:
Produce and deliver high-quality graphic and multimedia assets for Collins TechSpace's products, digital channels and marketing activities — translating product and marketing briefs into clear, on-brand visual experiences, campaign materials and production-ready deliverables for web, mobile and print.
Key Duties (Design-Centred):
- Produce end-to-end visual and multimedia design for product interfaces, marketing campaigns, digital content and print collateral from brief to production handoff.
- Design UI graphics, illustrations, icons, social and web assets, presentation materials, motion/animated assets and short marketing videos as required.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, reusable asset libraries and templates to ensure consistent visual identity across channels.
- Prepare production-ready artwork and detailed asset specifications for handoff to web/engineering teams or external suppliers.
- Conduct basic usability checks and review implemented assets to ensure visual quality and usability across devices and platforms.
- Coordinate with product, marketing and engineering teams to interpret briefs and ensure accurate implementation of design assets (collaboration is advisory/specification only).
- Ensure outputs comply with accessibility (WCAG where applicable), IP/licensing and data-privacy (GDPR) requirements.
- Mentor or review the work of junior designers and coordinate external creative suppliers when required.
Employer Clarification:
This role is explicitly design-led. It does not include building, training, deploying or implementing machine-learning models, writing backend code, owning engineering/product roadmaps, or performing production engineering tasks. Primary responsibilities are graphic and multimedia design, brand execution, prototyping and specification for handoff.
Person Specification — Essential:
- RQF Level 6 qualification (or above) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related discipline OR equivalent demonstrable professional experience evidencing degree-level competence.
- Minimum 3–5 years' professional experience producing graphic and multimedia design in product, digital or agency environments.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual design across branding, digital interfaces, motion/animated content and marketing assets, with clear evidence of your role and outcomes.
- Expert proficiency with industry design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud — Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects; plus Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD for interface work).
- Knowledge of design systems, accessibility basics (WCAG), production artwork standards and front-end handoff processes (basic HTML/CSS conceptual understanding desirable but not compulsory).
- Good communication skills and experience working collaboratively with product, marketing and engineering teams.
Desirable:
- Experience producing motion/animated content and short marketing videos.
- Experience with data visualisation or dashboard graphics (helpful but not required).
